Meditation is a practice and experience – an exercise to cultivate awareness and peace. By standing, lying and sitting with the mind we’re training it to be more open and relaxed with our thoughts. Discovering a greater sense of clarity, contentment and calm within ourselves. We are working with and within the present moment.
Meditation is about seeing the thoughts more clearly and accepting whatever thought passes. Having no resistance just having an allowing to what is. It can bring up very pleasant feelings but also unpleasant one’s so we can eventually be free of them. It can help us to declutter our mental room so to speak.
We can use meditation to change the way we see things so we can be less reactive and more proactive in our lives. We can take time for ourselves in this world of 24/7 information and digital noise. We can create more rest for the mind and find a path of increased awareness and happiness.
