The Mind Health Project is an 8 week course to improve mental health and increase happiness. Our project works to cultivate health and well-being which will help decrease stress, improve your mental health and increase happiness. The course is taught in venue's across the UK and online!
The Zenways approved course is part of an Oxford University research project and recognised by the Independent Yoga Network, The International Mindfulness Teachers Association and the College of Mindful Clinicians. It’s suitable for complete beginners or for those who want to build upon a meditation practice.
Week 1 : Orientation An introduction to mindfulness and meditation practice, the Zen approach and how to start a daily meditation practice.
Week 2 : Stress An insight into our daily stressers, the impact on our minds and how we can conquer stress.
Week 3 : Meditation, Mindfulness and Physical Pain How meditative approaches can help us with physical pain, learning to let go of the mental commentary and why awareness can free us from unnecessary pain.
Week 4 : Emotional stress, anxiety and depression How we can work with emotional pain, seeing things as they really are and why meditation and mindfulness can fight depression.
Week 5 : Role stress and time pressure Our roles in society and the stress that comes with them, how time pressure is a universal problem and effective ways of dealing with time stress.
Week 6: Taking care of yourself How we can change our daily routines to benefit us, the importance of a daily meditation programme and how to expand mindfulness into other areas of our lives.
Week 7 : Elevated function The role of meditation to improve your function in daily life, the sharpening of focus and concentration and the longevity it can give you.
Week 8 : Changing your life The level of engagement will determine your results, why meditation is a journey and how commitment to meditation practice can change your life.
Creating a meditation habit: The project in person, or online, in a one-to-one environment is just £300 for 8 weeks. You will get access to guided meditation recordings, class presentations and catch up videos. Plus you have an option to join our Mind Health practice group after the course to continue the positive habit and have ongoing support.
